Cannery Pier Hotel & Spa Completes Holistic Renovation!

Cannery Pier Hotel & Spa raises the standard of luxury on the Oregon Coast with the completion of our meticulous renovation project that has touched every corner of the property. The holistic refresh launched in early 2022 and has left no detail to chance, integrating the guest experience with hints of the region’s history and essence at any turn. Capping this labor of love is Bar 600, a new gathering place within the hotel that is ideal for celebrating milestones as well as the special moments that color everyday life.

The Arrival Experience

The excitement begins with a new and immersive stay experience from the moment of arrival and throughout a stay. Now, at the pier entrance, guests are greeted by the hotel’s new bronze statue, “The Big Catch,” created by artist Douglas Granum and inspired by an antique photo of a cannery worker. Additionally, “pierscaping” with natural design elements captures the rugged nature of the Pacific Northwest and the Columbia River, creating photo-worthy backdrops for an Oregon Coast adventure.

Introducing Bar 600

Bar 600 is a perfect companion to Cannery Pier Hotel & Spa, providing a comfortable yet special space for guests to relax and unwind. The aptly named Bar 600 is in the hotel lobby where the Columbia River's current collides with the Pacific Ocean. Imbibe in classic cocktails or new creations crafted by seasoned mixologists. Experience Oregon's renowned Pinot Noir or choose from the myriad of craft beers from the Pacific Northwest. As an accompaniment to Bar 600, the hotel's new kitchen will offer oyster shooters, small plates, seasonal boards, and delicious flatbread. Bar 600 will be a destination to start the day or the last stop for a perfect ending to the night.

The Spa at Cannery Pier Hotel

The Spa at Cannery Pier Hotel is completely redesigned with upgrades throughout including a soothing relaxation lounge with a front-seat view of the Astoria-Megler Bridge and the Columbia River. The Spa is thoroughly updated to provide guests with the best service and experience with expanded retail offering Aveda popular products as well as featuring goods from local artisans. The Spa will continue to offer its popular mineral hot tub and Finnish sauna.

Timeless views capture the imagination

Although the Cannery Pier Hotel & Spa has undergone a holistic transformation, one key element has remained constant: its unparalleled setting. Situated 600 feet into the Columbia River, the property offers incomparable scenery from every vantage point. Stunning vistas are available in all the hotel's 46 sumptuous guest rooms — well-appointed with thoughtful amenities, modern fixtures, rich textiles, the latest technology, hardwood flooring, a private balcony, a gas fireplace, a clawfoot or jetted tub, a cozy Pendleton.

The hotel is so proud to be raising the bar in comfort and amenities by offering guests a unique luxury experience with warm and personal hospitality. Sunset Magazine Travel Awards announced Cannery Pier Hotel & Spa as one of the most Stunning Hotel Renovations! We are proud we’ve achieved the best of both worlds, incorporating new elements, and further elevating the guest-favorite experiences that are the hallmark of the hotel.  Read more about the renovation from Portland Business Journal.
